International Admissions
Eureka College has been welcoming pupils from around the world for many decades and prides itself on being a warm, multinational community that works hard to ensure its overseas pupils are well integrated.
There are currently more than 60 overseas pupils at the school from more than 14 countries across the globe. Each of these pupils brings something individual to the school, but all serve to open our eyes and minds to the wider world, enriching our community and increasing our knowledge and respect for other cultures: we are delighted and privileged to welcome them here.
How to apply
1. Get in touch:
Email or call our admissions team to find out more about the school. Our Head of Admissions, Mrs Stephens, will be in touch to ask for more information and introduce you to Eureka College.

2. Meet the Head and Director:
All pupils are invited to an online meeting with Mr Mutimusakwa, Head and Director of Eureka College. You can ask questions and learn more about the school.
3. Register:
To make an application, please complete our online registration form and email it to
admissions@eureka.ac.zw. There is a registration fee of £132.
4. School report:
A school report and a short personal statement from the pupil is required (about hobbies and interests).
5. Online assessments:
Pupils are required to take our online entrance assessment in English and Maths.
6. Offer of a place:
To accept the place, please sign the parent contract and pay a refundable deposit.
Visa, ETA and Guardian information
ETA
For a stay of up to 6 months, students will require an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation).

VISA
For stays longer than 6 months students will need a Child Student Visa. The school will provide the CAS
document (Confirmation of Academic Study) once a place has been accepted by the parent. Read more about how to apply for a Visa here.
GUARDIAN
It is a legal requirement for international students to have a UK-based guardian when living in the UK. Parents who do not live in the UK, with children in British boarding schools, are required to appoint a guardian. This person must respond to the needs of both the child and the school.
A guardian should be a responsible adult (over the age of 18 years). The guardian must:
• Be either a family friend, relative, or guardianship agency;
• Have authority to act on behalf of the parents in all respects;
• Have a permanent or semi-permanent address in the UK;
• Be able to respond in an emergency;
• Speak sufficient English to communicate adequately with the school;
HOST FAMILY SCHEME
If the student is unable to return home or cannot stay with their guardian during the half term holidays, Host Families can provide accommodation. Our Host Families are from the local area, fully checked and often have a long-standing connection with the school(parents, teacher or parents of alumni). REGISTRATION FEE
When making an application, a registration fee of £132 is payable.
DEPOSIT
When the student accepts a place at the school, a refundable deposit is required as below:
WHAT IS VAT?
VAT, or Value Added Tax, is a tax (20%) that people in the UK pay on most goods and services they buy.
Businesses add VAT to the price of their products or services, and this tax goes to the government.
IS VAT CHARGED ON SCHOOL FEES?
From 1st January 2025, VAT will apply to independent school fees in the UK, which means that families will see an additional tax added to their school invoice.
HOW MUCH WILL I PAY?
When VAT is introduced in January 2025, rather than impose the full amount on fees immediately, we plan to phase the passing on of this tax to parents over a period of three academic years.
Overall, we do not intend to pass on more than 15% of the VAT cost to parents.
Academic Year 2024-25
In January 2025, 5% of the VAT cost will be passed on to parents.
Academic Year 2025-26
In September 2025, another 5% will be added.
Academic Year 2026-27
In September 2026, a final 5% will be passed on.
