Form 5 to Form 6

A Level

A Level

Forms 5 and 6 are an enormously exciting stage of the educational journey at Eureka College, offering freedom, choice and deep scientific enquiry. New opportunities open up socially, individuals specialise and excel in specific areas of sport, cultural activities and outdoor pursuits and there is the chance to lead younger pupils and share their passions and interests. There are also exciting opportunities to travel and to broaden horizons.

All of this is designed to prepare pupils for life after school, ensuring that they are well qualified, but also equipped with the character and personal skills such as resilience, open-mindedness and flexibility, to enable them not just to survive but to thrive in a rapidly-changing world.

Curriculum for Life – our 2nd Curriculum

Curriculum for Life gives our Sixth Form pupils the opportunity to get ready for the next step in their journey through life.

Weekly seminars educate our pupils in Financial Literacy, Politics, Philosophy and Wellbeing. They are given the wherewithal to navigate the UCAS system, to choose the right course at University, to cook and look after themselves and to contribute successfully to society as an adult.

The Curriculum for Life programme allows pupils a chance to look outside the classroom: to get outdoors, to read maps, to work for their Duke of Edinburgh, to help in the community, to focus on art study and music practice.

Pupils are engaged, motivated and involved in a lecture programme where they interact with men and women who have important advice to impart. They learn how to lead, how to guide, how to challenge themselves, how to challenge others.
